About Scott
On Monday through Friday of each school week, teens sit and listen to teachers and administrators who are 20 and 30 years their elder. While these students gain enormous amounts of knowledge and life experience, the one thing that is often absent from the classroom is the ability to connect.
Scott Backovich connects with the teens of today’s generation. As a nationally demanded keynote speaker, Scott has captivated and inspired audiences in schools and conferences from around the United States.
While attending high school in Northern California, Scott quickly emerged as one of the area’s standout teen leaders. After representing his city as a Boy’s State Representative and RYLA ambassador, Scott became the youngest person to be elected to the Northern California Youth Leadership Seminar’s planning committee. Soon after, he traveled to his new home in Long Beach, California, where Scott studied at Long Beach State University.
At the young age of 20, Scott began traveling to all corners of the country supplying his powerful and inspiring message to thousands of teens. Being one of the youngest speakers in the United States, Scott has quickly established himself as a popular teen motivator that students can actually relate to. His humorous style and uncanny ability to connect have left thousands of teens energized and excited to create positive changes in the lives of themselves, their peers, and their communities.
In his spare time, Scott can be found at his home in Long Beach, California, spending time with friends and family. He enjoys taking advantage of the Southern California sun, playing basketball, and going on spontaneous adventures.
